Banshee is an Irish-Scottish mythological creature - a fairy or a ghost of murdered woman. She appears mostly to important personages or members of important Irish families who are going to die violently soon. More Banshees can appear together when the person is really very important. Her sad singing or heartbreaking and piercing wailing can be heard from the woods or moors nearby the house where the person who is supposed to die lives. Also she can be seen standing on the road, walking in the woods or washing in a creek the bloodstained clothes or armour of those who are about to die. It's something like a warning.
Banshees are often described as amazingly beautiful women dressed in white or grey, having pale skin, eyes without an iris and a pupil and with long, pale hair which they brush with a silver comb. They may also appear as an ugly, frightening hag, hooded crow, stoat, hare or weasel.
So here it is - I drew Banshees in their natural environment - in a swamp full of small springs and many warped and fallen trees. As to me they are connected to their surroundings - gloomy atmosphere, labyrinth of trees where they can hide, treacherous marsh, high humidity (water from springs flows up and hovers in the air). They are safe there, they can relax and comb their hair. Home sweet home. 
I add some silver jewels to make them more mysterious.
I drew it in July - it was a birthday present for my grandma and unfortunately the only picture drawn with graphite pencils (as I use to draw) this year. Wish I had more time to improve my skills with pencils... 
Aaaand it wouldn't be me if there wasn't any problem so I'm sorry for the blurry and unsharp parts - I couldn't scan it myslef and a scanner of my aunt is little shitty bitch...
